Membership Details
The membership of the Society shall be open to any person interested in philately residing in any part of the world.
The classes of membership shall be as under:
- Life Member
- Ordinary Member
- Junior Member
- Honorary Member
Life members are those persons who are enrolled as such by the management of the Society and who pay Rs. 2,500/- in a lump sum along with an admission fee of Rs. 500/-.
Any person who has attained an age of 18 years may become an ordinary member of the Society by paying the prescribed fees, after obtaining the approval of the management of the Society. Annual subscription for ordinary membership shall be Rs. 500/- together with an admission fee of Rs. 500/- at the time of joining.
Any person who has not attained the age of 18 years may be admitted as a junior member of the Society without payment of any fee and on production of proof of age. Such person shall continue as junior member only until he completes 18 years and shall avail all the privileges of the Society except voting rights.
The Governing Council of the Society may invite any distinguished philatelist to become an honorary member. Such members will have no vote nor will they hold any office.
Persons joining the Society, as ordinary members during the period of April to September will be charged the full subscription for the year; those joining during the period October to March will be charged half the annual subscription.
Admission to membership shall be by application in the prescribed form, made to the Governing Council, which shall have the right to accept or reject the same.
The rights and privileges of a member shall be personal and not transferable.

Sunday Meetings
Karnataka Philatelic Society meets every 1st Sunday of month at General Postoffce, Rajbhavan Road, Bengaluru 560 001 at 11:00 am.
The typical agenda for the meeting will be
- Welcome speech by the President
- Announcements and Discussions on various matters pertaining to philately
- One talk by a member on a specific subject of philately
- Silent Auction
- Main Auction
- Celebration of specific events (like birth day of Penny Black, lithograph etc.) if scheduled.
- Vote of Thanks
Sunday Meetings provide an opportunity for philatelists to interact with fellow philatelists and discuss on the matters regarding philately. This meeting also provides the your and budding collectors to discuss their collection with the senior philatelist and to understand more about the displaying techniques.
Certain Sundays, displays will be on view from 11.00 am until 1:00 pm in the meeting room.
